  1. NumberCrunch 1.2 is a free scientific calculator.

  3. I like it much better than any others I've seen, since it can do plots, remember variables, provide a running text record of the work done, define functions - I put a lot of bells and whistles in.

  5. So double click on the application or plug the DA in your System file and check it out.

  7. The files in this package should be:

  9.  • ReadMe (the file you're reading) which tells what's here,
  10.  
  11.  • the NumberCrunch Application, a stand-alone or Multi-Finder version of the program,
  12.  
  13.  • the NumberCrunch DA, which is the one I use (although it's pretty big - about 72K), 
  14.  
  15.  • Help text, a TEXT file containing the same help information that's in the program,
  16.  
  17.  • Physics Constants, a NumberCrunch save file with the speed of light etc. (cgs units),
  18.  
  19.  • Sample Problems, an example of the kinds of physics problems you can work, and
  20.  
  21.  • Some Trig Definitions, another save file with extra trig functions and a fancy plot.

  27.  • the NumberCrunch Manual,  a 230k hypercard manual that takes you step-by-step through the program.

  29. I've been sending that along with the other files on a disk to folks who send me $17. 
  30. I haven't passed the manual out for free because 
  31.  1) that way the people who send some money get a bit extra, and
  32.  2) it seemed a bit big to put on a BBoard anyway.

If you want the manual, then send me $17. I'll send you the latest copy of the program, the files mentioned above, and the pretty slick HyperCard manual. This will also encourage me to finish a bigger, better version of the program - complete with arrays, matrices, complex numbers, externally-compiled functions, contour plots, and a partridge in a pair tree.
